Our Story:

The winding road that led us
to Cool Breeze Pavilion.

The Pavilion basically came about as a way to stop the hustle and bustle of life, sit down, and enjoy the beauty and family that surrounds you.

Double J Farm: 1974-2007

Double J Farm came about in 1974 when Alvin and Dorothy Jupe purchased the property and put the pipe fence and their namesake above the front entrance. The property was used for family gatherings and had a mobile home at the very location the Pavilion now sits.

Brehm Farms: 2007 – Present

On May 1, 2007, Gene and Vicki Brehm purchased the 138 acre Double J Farm from Gene’s Aunt Dorothy Jupe. Gene and Vicki Brehm were already running an established cattle operation in Southeast San Antonio, Brehm Farms. In an effort to continue to expand their operation, the property at Double J Farm added some much-needed space to continue to grow out their herd.

Cool Breeze Pavilion: 2017 - Present

One afternoon while delivering cattle to a buyer in South Texas, Vicki noticed a small pavilion on a customer’s property. She took a photo of that cute pavilion to show Gene as an idea of something they could put at their Brehm Farms property in New Berlin, TX.

That small pavilion idea ended up going to an architect and poof, Cool Breeze Pavilion was born! With the fancy new Pavilion, it was decided that it was too big and too nice and situated on a beautiful piece of property, it might as well be shared with the world. Gene and Vicki enlisted their daughter, Lindsey Minarcik to spear head the operation and management of the Pavilion.
